Course Description
A new form of game design is taking the gaming world by storm. It's called game modding, and it gives you the ability to tweak or completely redraw popular games. Modding is so fun, game manufacturers are now designing their games with modders in mind. And modding is a great skill to have if you want to become a professional game designer.
In this course, you'll dive into one of the world's most popular games to mod: WarCraft 3. You'll learn how to create levels and maps, skins, and maybe even whole new 3D objects to insert into the game. Play the game! Change the game! No matter what you do, it's your game and your rules!

Teaching Method
During the week at Cybercamps Academy, you’re going to work on your own projects, using our state-of-the-art computers, and with the direct help and guidance of really great staff. Our unique curriculum is self-paced which means you can go as fast as you want and take your time when you need to.
Who Should Take This Course?
This modding course is a starting place for anyone interested in game modding. It is ideally suited for youth who have already taken our game design course. If you really want to get into the depth this course will offer you, then we suggest you start first with Game Design course then add Game Modding: Warcraft 3 as a second week. For serious gamers and a new twist, be sure to add Game Modding: Half-Life 2 to the mix for a totally fun and immersive summer experience.
If I attend the same course multiple times, will I learn something new?
Absolutely. The Game Modding: WarCraft 3 course is very deep. This is one of most popular games with a devoted player following (and a great storyline, too!) Here you’re going to do advanced work. Sometimes the pace will be slow, other times it will go fast. What is consistent is the opportunity for you to try out lots of new mods – creating the game you like best.
